Getting to the door without the steps

The postcard approach is 132 steps from the Great Fountain. Skip it. Bus 695 or X15 to “Schloss Sanssouci” puts you on the upper level by the Historic Windmill, and the Maulbeerallee runs level to the Ehrenhof, where the slot is honoured. Car park P1 is on the same level; see parking. Inside, the ten rooms are on one floor, which is the whole idea of the building, and you will be asked to wear the felt overshoes like everyone else.
